Dear Members,

Sub: Clarification on the expiry month

Members may please note as per circular no. NSE/F&O/0014/2001 dated June 29, 2001 and NSE/F&O/0010/2001 dated May 30, 2001, all contracts expire on the previous trading day if the last Thursday of the expiry month is a holiday. 25^th Dec 2008 is the last Thursday of the month but is a declared holiday as per circular NSE/F&O/114/2007 dated December 14, 2007. Accordingly all contracts having expiry date as 25DEC2008 shall mature on 24DEC2008. Members can view contract description (Shift +F8) of such contracts on the trading terminals to confirm the last trading day.
