Dear Members,

 

 

Sub: Setting up of Regional Investor Complaint Resolution Committees

 

The Investor Services Cell of the Exchange facilitates resolution of investor complaints received against trading members at Mumbai office and the regional offices viz., Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Certain complaints do not get resolved through the complaint resolution process within a reasonable period on account of claims and counter claims made by the investors and trading members.

 

In order to expeditiously resolve complaints overdue for resolution by working out an amicable settlement, Regional Investor Complaint Resolution Committees are being set up at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai.

 

The Committee shall comprise of one ex-arbitrator and one trading member representative well versed with the functioning of the markets. The Committee shall decide the frequency of meetings based on the number of cases that may qualify. The date and time of the meetings shall be communicated to the parties by the Exchange. Pursuant to hearing both parties, the Committee shall pass their decision.
