The press today had reports that Shyam Telecom Limited is planning for placement of company’s stake with a foreign strategic partner.

Shyam Telecom Limited has vide their letter dated February 5, 2001 inter alia stated "It is denied that Shyam Telecom is considering any proposal for the placement of the Company’s stake with a foreign strategic partner. However, the company has further informed about its negotiations with Qualcomm Inc., USA for which shareholders’ approval is already in place."
