The Exchange today, witnessed highest turnover (in value terms) since inception in the Capital Market segment of Rs.10,366.52 crores. The previous highest turnover was Rs.9,718.62 crores which was recorded on September 13, 2000. The Exchange also clocked the highest number of trades in this segment viz. 13,78,944 trades (previous highest of 10,71,465 trades recorded on February 9, 2001).
The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the Exchange also saw an all-time high turnover of Rs.5124 crores. The previous highest turnover in this segment was Rs.4427 crores on February 8, 2001
