Spread Day trading introduced in additional Index Futures

Exchange has introduced spread trading in Index Futures contracts of Bank Nifty, CNX IT, Mini Nifty & Nifty Midcap 50 with effect from January 04, 2010. This is in addition to Spread contracts already available in Nifty Index Futures and individual Stock Futures.

Market Open Timings of Equity and Futures & Options Segments

The exchange has modified the market open time for its Equity segment and Futures & Options segment (Equity/Index) w.e.f. January 04, 2010. The segments now opens for trading at 9 AM on all business days, in place of earlier market open time of 9:55 a.m.

Currency Derivatives Segment

On January 07, 2010, The National Stock Exchange of India clocked a record turnover of 3.55 million contracts in the USDINR futures contract with a traded value of over USD 3.55 billion.
